Something to teach my son and daughters.
To remind myself too
The principle of giving
The wise will include.
For the gift of bread returns
Upon the water
If not here on earth
In Heaven it’s sure to.
Nothing is hidden from our Creator
The giving is seen whether
Lesser or greater.
The mind weighs up the amount
But the heart knows what will count.
The heart will see the Lord look at it deeply
Did the mind persuade it to give cheaply?
Or was it generous indeed
To sow an Heirloom seed?
“Give a serving to seven, and also to eight”.
Your flesh is bound to have the money debate.
Instead choose to let Holy Spirit rule your heart
And give Jesus truly the biggest and the best part!

Thoughtful poem on generosity. Indeed, when the Holy Spirit rules our hearts and its entirety is yielded to Jesus, then giving will be as natural as breathing.
